Description

Ingrédients

ÉCHELLE
  • 1¼ cups 2% milk
  • 2¼ teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (for syrup)
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar (for syrup)
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ⅔ cup packed light brown sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for filling)

Préparation

  1. In a bowl, combine all dough ingredients and mix until smooth.
  2. Knead the dough on a work surface until smooth.
  3. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size (90 minutes to 2 hours).
  4. For the syrup, melt the butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup in a pan, then pour into a greased pan.
  5. For the filling, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, and melt the butter.
  6. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with filling.
  7. Roll up the dough, cut into 12 pieces, and place in the pan.
  8. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the brioche for 40 to 45 minutes.
  10. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure to give the dough enough rising time for the best texture. Feel free to add nuts or substitute ingredients as needed.
