Ingrédients
ÉCHELLE
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon herbes de Provence
- 3 1/2 cups bread flour
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 2/3 cup sliced black olives
Préparation
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl (except the olives).
- Set the bread maker to the ‘dough’ setting.
- When the timer alerts (around 1:23), add the olives.
- If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour.
- Remove dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll the dough into 3 or 4 circles about 8-10 inches in diameter.
- Make incisions on each circle to create the fougasse design.
- Let the circles rise for about 45 minutes.
- Brush with olive oil.
- Preheat oven to 425°F and bake for 12-15 minutes.
