A cozy, creamy pasta dish combined with smoky sausage for a deliciously indulgent meal.
Ingrédients
ÉCHELLE
- 300 g de pâtes (penne, fusilli, rigatoni)
- 250 g de saucisse fumée coupée en rondelles
- 1 oignon émincé
- 2 gousses d’ail hachées
- 1 poivron rouge en lanières (optional)
- 200 ml de crème liquide entière
- 100 ml de bouillon de légumes ou de volaille
- 1 cuil. à soupe d’huile d’olive
- 80 g de fromage râpé (cheddar, mozzarella, emmental)
- 1 cuil. à café de paprika doux
- 1 pincée de piment
- Sel et poivre au goût
- Persil frais (for garnish)
Préparation
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain but save some starchy pasta water.
- Sauté the onion in olive oil until soft. Add garlic and bell pepper (if using) and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add sausage rounds and sauté until golden brown.
- Get creamy by sprinkling paprika and a pinch of chili. Pour in cream and broth, stirring together. Let simmer until slightly thickened, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, mixing well to coat. Add cheese, allowing it to melt. Use reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick.
- Dish it up with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
This dish can be customized with additional veggies or proteins. Save pasta water for adjusting sauce consistency.
