Description

Delicious buttery maple cookies that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingrédients

ÉCHELLE
  • 1 cup (250 g) softened butter
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) maple essence
  • 1 3/4 cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (90 g) + 1 tablespoon (15 g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/3 cup (85 ml) maple syrup

Préparation

  1. Cream the butter with the sugar and cornstarch until smooth.
  2. Add the maple essence.
  3. Incorporate the flour gradually until well combined.
  4. Shape the dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 325°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Cut shapes with a cookie cutter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Mix the maple syrup with confectioners’ sugar for the glaze and apply to cooled cookies.

Notes

Allow cookies to cool completely before glazing to avoid a sticky mess.
